Gloria Pires and author Alessandra Poggi comment on the actress’ participation in the soap opera; Scenes will begin airing July 29

The actress Gloria Pires was invited by the artistic director Luiz Henrique Rios to play the psychiatrist Nise da Silveira in Beyond Illusion, Character she also played in the cinema. Gloria recorded the scene where Leônidas (Eriberto Leão) introduces her to Matias (Antonio Calloni). The scenes will be broadcast next Friday (29th).
In the plot, Nise and Leonidas talk about how they work and the psychiatrist frees Matias from the stretcher when she finds that he is trapped. “I was very touched by the invitation from my dear Luiz Henrique Rios. It’s been a while since we worked together and Being able to miss him and his colleagues was a lot of fun, a party! But I was honored to now have the opportunity to meet Dr. Playing Nise on a soap opera,” Gloria said in a press release.

Author’s comments
Author Alessandra Poggi thought of the actress when writing the lyrics but was surprised by the casting, since the director did not reveal the choice in advance. And for her research, Alessandra visited the exhibition about Nise da Silveira in a cultural center in Rio de Janeiro and wrote down all of the doctor’s phrases that were displayed on the wall of the place. From there, he prepared the dialogue between the characters.
“The idea of putting Nise da Silveira in the telenovela was that our new heroine of homeland meets Leonidas and show him that he was on the right path by preaching affectionbased treatment to schizophrenics. Of course I had Gloria Pires in mind while writing the scenes because of her great work as Nise in the films. But I couldn’t comment on Luiz Henrique. But after this wonderful film, who doesn’t think of Gloria Pires when thinking of Nise? He extended the invitation and she accepted, honoring us with this illustrious attendance,” the author recalls.
