Brendan Fraser, the great idol of the 90s, was rather absent from our screens in the 2000s.

However, for some time now, the Canadian actor has started to rebrand himself.
The first picture of his next film was revealed on Tuesday. The actor, best known for his roles in Encino Man and George of the Jungle, is unrecognizable.

In The Whale, Fraser plays a 600-pound man with agoraphobia who is desperate to reconnect with his teenage daughter. The film, which will premiere at this year’s Venice Film Festival, is director Darren Aronofsky’s first film since his mother! in 2017.
The Whale also stars Sadie Sink (Max in Stranger Things), Hong Chau, Samantha Morton and Ty Simpkins.
The film is slated to hit theaters in a few months.
