This Wednesday, Cuban exile organizations called for a nationwide strike on the island, counting on the signatures of more than 500 people in Cuba who publicly expressed their rebellion against the regime.
Messages like that of this coachman, who lives in Camaguey in the east-central region of Cuba, were shared today at a press conference organized by the Democratic Board of Directors.
“Hundreds of activists in Cuba have signed a public letter issued from Cuba announcing a state of strike in the face of tyranny, which they define as a call not to cooperate with the regime under any circumstances,” said Orlando Gutiérrez of the directory.
Some of these initiatives are non-participation in the regime’s political acts or its popular appeals.
A frontal response to the Castro dictatorship that, amid the worst economic crisis in the regime’s 64 years, continues to blame the United States for its shortcomings and calls for more sacrifices from the people.
The exile also raises civil and legal protests against corporations and corporations that represent the regime and exploit this community and finance the regime.
