Continued turbulent situation in Ukraine. Despite the undisputed Ukrainian successes of the past few days east of Kyiv, Russian forces continue to be detectable in the Bohdanivka area, with clashes by a particular unit still taking place in nearby Lukyanivka, also because various attempts have recently been launched from there by handshakes by 90th Tanks . Russian armored division in the direction of Boryspil (where the international airport is located) intercepted on time. However, west of the capital, if Bucha, Hostomel and Vorzel remain in Russian hands, Irpin now appears in Ukrainian hands, with the latest raids completed this morning. An important role in this operation was played by former elements of the American and British special forces of the International Brigade. However, the continuous line that the Ukrainians were able to establish along the settlements of Motyzhyn, Lychanka, Shpytky, Petrushki, Lisne and Dmytrivka to block the Russians’ route to the south of the capital is subject to incessant attacks from aircraft and artillery. Developments in the Cernihiw and Sumy sectors are also very interesting. The area around Chernihiv, which is still in fact surrounded, is nevertheless repeatedly pervaded by maneuvers and countermanoeuvres, which mean that the fronts are constantly changing. For example, the village of Snovsk, northeast of the city, is being cleared by Russian troops being pursued by Ukrainian elements who, strictly speaking, should be isolated. In order not to be pursued in depth, the Russians even blew up the rolling stock bridges leading from the settlement to the Belarusian border, within which at least part of their forces would have retreated. Similar dynamics, especially with regard to the demolition of bridges protecting refugee areas, were observed in the settlements of Konotop, Stara Rudnya, Smyach, Maly Dyrchyn and Velykyi Dyrchyn. Sumy will also no longer be subjected to ground attacks, but part of the besieging troops will be returned to the territory of the Russian Federation. On the other hand, Kharkiv continues to be indirectly shelled (up to 180 salvos from multiple rocket launchers have been recorded in the last 24 hours), and the troops threatening it seem to have been reinforced in recent days. According to recent reports, Izyum is partly in Russian hands, with forces in preparation (through the influx of a marine infantry brigade from the Baltic Fleet) for the foreseeable next target, Sloviansk. In any case, the city is partially surrounded by encirclement maneuvers that led to the almost complete capture of Topolske, Kamyanka and Tykhotske. From the latter, a column would advance towards Barkinkove: a strategic hub which, if captured, would allow the Russians to cut the railway connections of Slovianksk and Kramatorsk with the rest of Ukraine. In addition, the areas in front of Kramatorsk are experiencing strong pressure, for the time being only in terms of indirect fire, in the basic settlements of Toretske, Svitlodarsk, Troitske and Pisky. The Porkovsk area, on the other hand, saw the first ground battles, which were initially won by the Ukrainians (mostly using the territorial defense and police forces). In the Severodonetsk area, Russian attention has returned to the nearby areas of Popasna and Rubizhne, with the latter repelling a furious attack on its northwestern periphery at the end of a semiencircling maneuver. In Mariupol, Russian forces have managed to partially advance into the city’s Kalmiusky district, but have not yet cut it in two. In the south, the Russification of the occupied territories also takes the form of the forced introduction of the ruble as a bargaining chip and promises of cancellation of bank loans and credits and arrears to those who denounce “fascist” elements. The Russians responded to the gap that opened a few days between the Ukrainians’ recapture of Huliaiopole with a slight retreat of the entire line, accompanied by intense bombing raids to which the city was subjected these hours. However, this did not prevent the Ukrainian advance on the small villages of Poltavka and Malinivka, carried out by regular troops with the support of elements of the territorial defense of Melitopol, “reappeared on the spot after they “fell asleep after the occupation that began weeks ago . East of Mykolaiv, the pocket, where some Russian forces had been isolated for a few days, began to shrink with the Ukrainian capture of Vynohradivka, Inhulka and MykhailoLaryne. This morning a Russian column left Kherson and was signaled towards Mykolaiv. Finally, in the “forgotten front of Krivy Rih, which, despite the undoubted strategic importance, has always received little attention, there are renewed clashes, especially long artillery exchanges, on Vysokopole, Bolshaya Oleksandrivka, Beryslav, Snigerivka and Stanislav. Meanwhile, the Ukrainians have begun to receive the first ultrashortrange STARSTRAK antiaircraft systems, which can be used by both manportable launchers and launchers that can be installed on vehicles. The STARSTREAK has a range of about 7km, greater than a STINGER, and features a dualbeam laser guidance system that makes it largely immune to conventional countermeasures and also allows it to “resist” target evasive maneuvers. . The other features are the very high speed, Mach 3, and the 3 tungsten darts that hit the target and are released from the body of the rocket in the final phase. In short, a bad customer for Russian aircraft.
