In southern Ukraine the workers They separate the seeds from the debris after warehouses were hit by Russian missiles. In the village of Yulivka in the Zaporizhia region of south-eastern Ukraine, workers sift through hundreds of tons of wheat of rapeseed to clean it of rocket splinters, glass and concrete after Russia hit three warehouses in Aleksandr-Agro 2 on the night of July 27. Aleksandr-Agro 2 is an agricultural company that has been growing oilseeds and beans for 15 years. The company’s owner, Vasyl Kasyarun, confirms that there were no military items or equipment in the warehouses, which were full of grain waiting to be sown in the fall. A 25-year-old worker, Vladyslav, walks barefoot through the seeds, collecting fragments buried in them. The grain is then carefully sifted to be loaded the next day as cargo for customers already awaiting shipment.
