WWE SUMMERSLAM 2022 REPORT

WWE SUMMERSLAM 2022 REPORT

There is a touch of change! Many have noticed this over the past week, both on Raw and SmackDown. What awaits us on the hottest night of summer? Welcome to the Summerslam 2022 Report from your Alan Mack!

KICKOFF SHOW

And we’re live from Nashville, Tennessee at Nissan Stadium with the Summerslam Kickoff Show with Kayla Braxton, Booker T, Kevin Patrick, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Peter Rosenberg presenting us with today’s card. The connection passes outside the stadium with Matt Camp and some fans waiting to be let inside.

We start talking about the rivalry between Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship. The panel gives its opinion and rightly recalls that this feud only started last year at Summerslam 2021. Almost everyone agrees that Bianca will solidify her kingdom except for Jerry, who believes Becky’s comeback story will end tonight.

Immediately after this we continue with the promotional video of the game between Pat Mcafee and Happy Corbin. Lawler is very critical of McAfee, recalling that he was a kicker in football, a role perhaps more ignored than the others. Kevin interrupts the delay almost immediately and talks about another planned meeting: the showdown between Judgment Day and the Mysterios, which shows us what happened on the latest episode of Raw at Madison Square Garden.

After a short break, the challenge between Logan Paul and The Miz continues. This is Awesome show host Greg Miller takes on Peter Rosenberg and praises Logan’s (albeit brief) work he did at WrestleMania and before. Jerry brings him down to earth and tells him that he hasn’t done much in the business and that he needs to get inside Miz’s protective wing. Booker confirms that being a tag team wrestler is easier than a novice.

Sarah Schreiber is backstage interviewing Theory. She asks him how he feels tonight. The theory replies that he feels on top of the world. That’s the moment! After tonight we will enter the Age of Theory. He reclaims the US title and concedes tonight no matter who. He’ll get in the ring, cash in and become the youngest-ever WWE Undisputed Universal Champion. Going back to the panel where the 4 hosts analyze the planned match against Bobby Lashley for the US Championship, with the only booker believing in the boy’s potential and seeing him as a double champion. The others give the young athlete no hope.

We move straight to the match for the SmackDown Women’s Champion, with Kayla sharing the results of a poll started at The Bump, Liv winning the odds with 77% of the vote. However, Jerry says it can’t just be based on a fan poll because they follow their feelings. Until recently everyone loved Ronda, now everything has changed. There are conflicting views on the panel, with votes split between them.

We continue to talk about the match for the pairs titles. While everyone endorses the Streets Profits for the win, Jerry advises viewers to bet their own house and win a second by betting on the Bloodline.

We enter Nissan Stadium, already packed with people, ready for the biggest event of the summer! Titus O’Neil takes to the stage with charity representatives wearing custom-made WWE Champion belts. Titus announces that these facilities will also receive a grant of $20,000 each from the association.

It’s 10 minutes until Summerslam starts and the crowd has already filled the stands at Nissan Stadium! There is only one match of note and that is the Main Event, the Last Man Standing between challenger Brock Lesnar and undisputed champion Roman Reigns. There are many opinions about this meeting, including who will emerge victorious, what will happen and whether or not Theory will concede. There is also talk of McIntyre, the next challenger for the title. The predictions are divided again at the panel.

And so ends the kickoff !! The Summerslam 2022 has finally started!
