A new feature will soon be available to everyone on WhatsApp.
The instant messaging application announces the arrival of a new voice message editing feature. Tested for a few days with a small panel of users, the feature will soon be available to all users, announces Meta, WhatsApp’s parent company.
In concrete terms, users now have the option of pausing a voice recording in order to continue it later. The interface will also be easier to understand for the average user, with a button to send and a button to delete messages.
In the discussion thread, the user can also choose to speed up the reading of audio messages by multiplying the reading speed by 1.5 or 2. Handy for listening to information quickly.
The system also automatically saves when reading a message is finished so that the user can come back to it later if they suddenly have to leave the conversation.
Finally, voice messages can also be read outside of the chat. If they leave the conversation to return to other conversations and reply to another contact, the user can still listen to the audio message they started hearing. Handy for long voice notes!
According to Meta, the feature should be available to all users in the coming weeks.
