James Cordon mocked Jada Pinkett Smith in a musical skit just days after Will Smith beat Chris Rock at the Oscars after the comedian made a joke about the actress.

The CBS Late Late Show host, 43, performed a version of the film Encanto and discussed with the program’s cast members how to tastefully cover the incident at Sunday’s 94th Academy Awards.

“We’re not talking about Jada, no, no, no,” he sang, parodying the tune We Don’t Talk About Bruno from Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Encanto, which won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.

James sang about other moments of the awards like Beyonce performing her song Be Alive from the movie King Richard, which was nominated for Best Picture of the Year and won Will for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his role in Richard Williams.

However, the performance did not go down well with viewers, with many taking to Twitter to express their disgust.

“James Corden makes the worst jokes you will ever hear,” wrote a viewer of the clip.

Someone else wrote: “This is awesome because James Corden killed Encanto and Will Smith Oscar memes right away. It’s like killing two birds with one stone.”

Another wrote: “Have we stopped mocking black women for too long to comfort you?”

It comes after a video resurfaced of Will punching a reporter who tried to kiss him on the red carpet during the Moscow premiere of Men In Black 3 in 2012.

Ukrainian prankster Vitalii Sediuk hugged Smith on the red carpet and kissed him on both cheeks.

Smith, 53, promptly pushed Sediuk away and then slapped him on the cheek.

“Hey man, what the hell is your problem?” asked Will Sediuk.

Smith recounted the incident as he approached the nearest reporter moments later and said, “He tried to kiss me on the mouth.

Smith addressed the kissing incident during an interview on The Late Show With David Letterman, where he called it “awkward.”

“We’re conducting an interview. He’s a reporter, he says, “I’m your biggest fan, can I have a hug?” So I go to hug this Joker and he tries to lean in to kiss me… it’s just embarrassing Dave! said Smith.

Sediuk, who has pranked a number of celebrities, later apologized for kissing Will and admitted it was “too much”.

“I apologize for my behavior … I think it was too much. I just wanted to do something out of the ordinary to impress him,” he said in a video for Hip Hollywood.

Smith’s collapse continued as he returned to his seat and repeatedly yelled, “Keep my wife’s name out of your damn mouth”.

The crowd then fell into a stunned silence – and any questions as to whether the altercation was genuine were answered when Smith received the Best Actor award just over half an hour later and apologized for the attack.

The actor released a statement on Monday saying his behavior was “unacceptable and inexcusable” and made him “embarrassed”.

He wrote in an Instagram post that he was “embarrassed” by his actions, which shocked attendees, producers and viewers at the ceremony.

“Violence in all its forms is poisonous and destructive,” he wrote.

“My behavior at the Oscars last night was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s health was too much for me and I reacted emotionally.

Smith turned his cheek towards both kisses, promptly pushing Sediuk away and then slapping him on the cheek

“I want to apologize to you publicly, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I’m embarrassed and my actions were no indication of the man I want to be. In a world of love and kindness there is no place for violence.’

Smith then apologized to the show’s organizers and producers.

Rock did not respond to Smith’s apology or comment on Sunday night’s incident.
