Surveillance video captured the moment when robbers broke into a New York City home in broad daylight and stole more than $40,000 worth of luxury jewelry — including a diamond-studded Rolex watch, a $10,000 gold chain and at least $300 in cash.
Footage from the frightening scene was taken around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Bronx, police officers say, and shows a robber in a camouflage jacket and dark trousers pointing a gun at the victim.
The attacker allows his target to remove his parka before forcing him to the ground in the living room of the house before ransacking the man’s belongings.
The robber then pulls out a cell phone – apparently to call a second suspect – who joins him in stealing valuables from around the house.
