After days of wandering over its cargo, the freighter “Razoni”, which was the first ship to leave Ukraine since the start of the war with grain on board, entered a Turkish port. As can be seen on tracking websites last night, the freighter entered the Mediterranean port of Mersin. According to a media report, a new buyer had previously been found for the 26,000 tonnes of corn on board.
The “Razoni” left the Ukrainian port of Odessa for Lebanon on Monday of last week and was supposed to dock in Tripoli in Lebanon last Sunday. But that didn’t happen – the Lebanese buyer of the 26,000 tonnes of corn withdrew from the purchase contract, according to Ukrainian sources, because delivery had been delayed by five months due to the Russian war of aggression.
A new buyer was then desperately sought after. According to The Middle East Eye, a buyer has been found in Turkey. The online medium referred to an agent on the ship.
