In February 2020, Marvel Studios announced “the universe is expanding” before their expansion to the original Disney + content. The pandemic will pause these plans, but after 2021, Marvel’s cinematic universe will dominate social conversations throughout the calendar year. Even during the theatrical drought, the success of the performances is pleasing WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier allowed the MCU to remain at the top of the Hollywood hierarchy.
Marvel Studios will continue streaming in 2022, as the franchise has to debut shows for novice characters like Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel by Iman Vellani. Before these originals hit the small screen, the Marvel branch of Disney + received a significant boost of new content.

Although it is unclear whether these seven shows will be under Marvel’s Kinematic Universe or Marvel’s Legacy section, most of them will be under parental restrictions, an update revealed by the official press release of Disney +:

These restrictions will take effect on March 16 and will encourage all US subscribers to set parental controls for these TV-MA programs, including password-locked accounts.

The future of Marvel with an R rating
Mr. Feigi, you have become part of a much more mature universe, you just don’t know it yet.
Integrating Disney + into Marvel Netflix’s TV-MA shows opens up Pandora’s box on future content opportunities. Whether classified as an MCU canon or not, their very existence invites more original projects with a similar tone to enter the universe.
At the moment, Marvel Studios does not have any originals of TV-MA in development, but they have a movie centered around a dirty mercenary along the way.

Wade Wilson’s variable
The only surviving survivor of the merger of 20th Century Fox and Disney is Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.
It is unclear whether Patrick Stewart’s Professor X. Dr. Strange in the multiverse of madness will be the same version from the previous one X-man movies, but fans know for sure that Wade Wilson gets a direct sequel Deadpool 2 under Marvel Studios. And yes, it will be Rated-R.
The condition of Deadpool 3 remains unclear, but Reynolds promises a “update batch” is coming “sooner rather than later.” Every time this triquel hits theaters, it’s likely to be the subject of a traditional Marvel Studios marketing campaign. That means trailers, TV spots and a batch of Disney + promotions with it, such as episodes of Deadpool, Marvel legends and Marvel Studios: Assembled.

With this type of marketing, only both make sense Deadpool and Deadpool 2 will arrive at Disney + around the time of Deadpool 3the first trailer to ensure that fans can catch up with the franchise before the theatrical debut of threequel.
While Deadpool 3 maintaining the rating is just a continuation of the tone of the established franchise, the integration of Marvel Netflix shows that Marvel Studios is open to developing new titles that embrace violence.
TV-MArvel
Marvel Netflix migrated on March 16, and two weeks later Disney + embraced the chaos.

As one of Marvel Comics’ most violent characters, many were somewhat surprised to see Moon Knight to receive a TV-14 rating or the television equivalent of a theatrical PG-13. Although not classified as TV-MA, Moon Knight‘S rating still gives the show a chance to present itself“brutal” action and “tonal change” promises.
Pressing the boundaries of TV-14 can serve as a precursor to the MCU, which fully welcomes the mature audience. MCU has never dealt with violence because of violence, but given their upcoming lineup, they have many characters who justify the darkness.
The ghostly side of the MCU reaches new heights thanks to Dr. Strange 2 and will dive even deeper with Mahershala Ali blade restart. It has long been speculated that characters such as Keith Harrington’s Blade and Dane Whitman will lead to an MCU adaptation of Midnight Sons, a faction of Marvel’s most supernatural characters.

If Marvel Studios wants to do something like Midnight Sons with the circuits completely off, Disney + now provides that way out. Limit darker projects like this or upcoming ones Werewolf at night Behind Parental Control allows MCU directors the creative freedom that previous talents did not have.
The appeal of Rvel-rated content
This talent relates to the past, present and future of Marvel Studios.
Dr. Strange director Scott Derrickson in particular left The multiverse of madness over “creative differences” between him and the studio. These contrasting visions were never developed, but given Derrickson’s horror, it is likely that he wanted to take the character in a more terrible direction, which may have expanded Disney’s family boundaries.

Derrickson came down from Dr. Strange 2 more than two years ago. The MCU of which it was a part then is not the same MCU that exists today. With more tonal freedom, Derrickson can realize his vision for a more spooky MCU project.
guardians of the galaxy director James Gunn has already achieved unprecedented success with his R-rated comic book projects. The suicide squad and peacemaker were a critical success, with the latter breaking HBO Max’s streaming records.
Guardians of the Galaxy Volume. 3 it’s probably Marvel Studios’ latest Gunn project in the near future, but the temptation to direct a TV-MA MCU series may be enough to get him back into the books.

As for the future, these possibilities are endless. Can acclaimed directors who usually do R-rated projects, such as Jordan Peel and Neil Blomkamp, enter the Marvel cinematic universe? What does a Tim Miller-directed MCU movie look like? After leaving The ant manCan this make Marvel Studios face to face with Edgar Wright’s vision?
Time will tell how ready Marvel Studios is to embrace the chaos of TV-MA, but for fans of full content this is a big step in the right direction.
Derdeville, The punisherand four other Marvel Netflix TV shows arrive on Disney + on March 16th.
