English presenter James May, 59, has been hospitalized after an accident while filming his show The Grand Tour. On Thursday (11) he crashed his vehicle into a wall at 120 km/h.

The information was released by the Chron and The Sun on Friday (12). The former host of the popular Top Gear auto show has “broke at least one rib,” a source tells British newspapers.
He required a full brain scan before his release on Friday, according to the publications.

He was taking turns filming stunt scenes with rally cars with his fellow presenters when he took too long to brake and crashed into a wall. “James smashed his head pretty hard on impact and was bleeding,” a source told The Sun.
A person present at the time of the accident described the tension that gripped the site.
“In the beginning it seemed very worrying. Jeremy and Richard (the other presenters) were worried about their companion and the paramedics rushed over. He broke at least one rib and was pretty shattered by it.”

They drove through a dark tunnel toward a stone wall at a Norwegian naval base. It wasn’t until just before the cars crashed that the venue lights came on and the presenters had to brake within seconds.
It was filmed for a special episode of The Grand Tour, presented by him, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond.
