HAVANA, 12th August (ACN) Cuba reports 66 new positive cases of SARS-CoV-2 at the end of this Thursday, in another day with no deaths from COVID-19 Department of Public Health (MINSAP) on his website.
To date, 112 medical discharges have been granted and 398 active patients with the disease remain hospitalized, five of whom are being treated in critical condition in the ICU, specifies the portion of the MINSAP which we reproduce in full below:

At the end of yesterday August 11, a total of 630 patients were enrolled, 232 suspected cases and 398 confirmed active patients.
For COVID-19, a total of 2,071 samples were collected for surveillance, of which 66 were positive, representing 3.2% positivity. The country collects 14 million 060 thousand 365 conducted samples and 1 million 109 thousand 259 positives.
Of the total cases (66): 57 were contacts of confirmed cases, 5 with a source of infection abroad and 4 without a specified source of infection. Of the 66 cases diagnosed, 42 were female and 24 male.

7 asymptomatic cases (10.6%) were reported, totaling 147,359, representing (13.3%) of the cases confirmed to date.
Of the 66 diagnosed cases, they belong to the age groups: under 20 years (30), 20 to 39 years (15), 40 to 59 years (13), 60 and older (8).

On the day there were 112 layoffs, cumulatively 1 million 100 thousand 273 (99.2%). 5 confirmed critically ill patients are being treated in intensive care.
