Cowboys at Broncos score: live updates, tv channel, live stream, game stats for Saturday’s preseason game

Though the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos didn’t face the majority of the starters in Saturday’s preseason opener, Denver still had ample offensive firepower thanks to No. 2 quarterback Josh Johnson. Johnson started in place of Russell Wilson (rest) and threw two touchdown passes in the first half to give Denver a 17-0 halftime lead.

The highlight pass was a 40-yard thump at Brandon Johnson, son of former MLB catcher Charles Johnson, when the receiver penned the pass on the left touchline to get Denver’s offense moving. Johnson then found Seth Williams for a 1-yard touchdown three games later to give the Broncos a 7-0 lead.

Johnson also found Kendall Hinton for a 24-yard score on a rainbow touch pass to give Denver a 14-0 lead. He went 16 of 24 for 172 yards and two touchdowns in the first half (120.2 rating).

Cooper Rush started for the Cowboys in place of Dak Prescott (rest). He went 9 of 17 for 70 yards and one interception in the first half, with the interception coming on a fourth-down pass in the first quarter. Many Dallas starters sat out the competition (20 in total). Dallas has nine penalties in the first half.

There are plenty of camp fights that will take center stage during the second half of Saturday’s tilt, so stay tuned to the live blog for all the action!
