tenor (Murilo Benício) is already on the verge of madness wetland, and this is increasingly evident through the outbursts and absurd phrases of the villain who drove Maria (Isabel Teixeira) from her home to keep Zuleica (Aline Borges) as a maid in a place more akin to captivity. In the next few chapters, Tenório will push his limits again, but this time it’s his children who are paying the price. Renato (Gabriel Santana) and Roberto (Caue Campos).
Disgusted by the complaints around the house, most notably the comments about the heat and the need to use the generator to turn on the air conditioners, Tenório erupts in a new general outburst, yelling at his children to make it clear they are doing it have to fend for themselves.

“From now on you’ll have to fend for yourself,” Tenório says in his oldfashioned way, leaving his children in the gutter while Zuleica suffers from body aches and longs for the goodies left behind in São Paulo, including a rest and basic equipment that the make everyday life easier for the whole family.
Increasingly dominated by bitterness, Tenório will manage to distance himself from practically everyone in the next chapters of Pantanal, which is why he will have difficulty coping with the upcoming war against José Leôncio (Marcos Palmeira), responsible for the peak of the nineties to become watch soap opera.
