BUENOS AIRES (AFP) – Argentina is hosting its fourth Asado Federal Championship on the main street of Buenos Aires this Sunday to celebrate a gastronomic tradition and look for the best asador in the country.
With booths on Avenida 9 de Julio, this national tournament brings together participants from “the 23 provinces of Argentina and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires”.

The participants “will prepare different cuts of meat in front of a panel of experts who will choose the champion of 2022,” reports the Buenos Aires official tourism website.
The competition, in which both men and women take part, tests the techniques of specialists in grilling meat, a tradition shared by all the countries of the Latin American southern cone.
