dr Chris Brown is the latest surprising superhero to join the DC Universe lineup, lending his voice to guinea pig Mark in the animated DC League of Super-Pets.
The famous veterinarian, 43, stars in the film alongside wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and comedian Kevin Hart.
He announced the news on Sunday, uploading a promotional image of himself in the recording studio to Instagram along with a picture of the cute animal he’s pronouncing.

“If you’re in possession of a sizable, potentially oversized chin AND are approached by DC films to voice a character in their new animated superhero film, you have to apologize if you think you’re getting Superman vibes,” he said titled post.
“But oh no. You knew the character I was born to be. So I’m excited to voice the character of Mark… the guinea pig. But he’s not just any family doctor. His super power? Fire.’
The film opened in US theaters on July 29 and took the top spot at the box office over the weekend with $23 million in domestic earnings.

The film, which is about Superman’s dog Krypto the Super-Dog, was played in 4,314 locations, the AP reported, citing studio estimates.
Industry experts predicted the film, which also features the voices of Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski and Keanu Reeves, would cost around $25 million.
DC League Of Super-Pets also took in $18.4 million internationally, taking its global gross profit up to $41.4 million.

“This opening is a huge win for DC fans, the box office, WB and our filmmakers,” Jeff Goldstein, president of Warner Bros. domestic sales, said, according to the AP.
“The interest is red hot. Young family films play for a long time. Given our A- CinemaScore and word of mouth, we’ll be around for a while.’
It comes as Chris’ new reality show Dog House Australia is becoming a surprise ratings winner for Channel 10.
