Miley Cyrus tests positive for COVID after Hurricane world tour but says it was “definitely worth it”…even though she had to skip the Grammy weekend performance

  • The 29-year-old singer announced her health update via Twitter on Friday, writing: “To travel the world, play for 100,000 people a night and meet hundreds of fans a day, the chances of getting Covid are pretty high. ”
  • The Wrecking Ball hitmaker added that despite testing positive for the infectious disease, she wasn’t too upset about it: “I have Covid now but it was definitely worth it.”
  • However, the Tennessee-born star will miss her upcoming Grammys weekend performance, which will benefit Steven Tyler’s Janie’s Fund
  • Miley has had a busy few months, with the star playing shows in Chile, Colombia, Argentina and Brazil in March alone

Miley Cyrus tested positive for COVID-19 after her fast-paced world tour, during which she traveled to Brazil and Colombia for a month.

The 29-year-old singer announced her health update via Twitter on Friday, writing: “To travel the world, play for 100,000 people a night and meet hundreds of fans a day, the chances of getting Covid are pretty high. “

The Wrecking Ball hitmaker added that despite testing positive for the infectious disease, she wasn’t too upset about it: “I have Covid now but it was definitely worth it.”

However, the Tennessee-born star was upset that she would miss her upcoming Grammys weekend performance, which benefited Steven Tyler’s fund.

“Unfortunately that’s why I’m missing out on Janie’s Fund, which sucks because it’s a charity that’s very important to me and my friend Steven Tyler.”

However, she appeared to be on the positive side, assuring fans that she is fine despite testing positive.

“I’m fine, so don’t worry about me! Sorry Stefan! We have to “go this way” some other time!’ She wrote.

Miley has had a busy few months. In March she has played shows in Chile, Colombia, Argentina and Brazil.

That same month, she also suffered a horrific incident when her private jet en route to Asunción, Paraguay, was forced to make an emergency landing after being struck by lightning.

She opened up about the scary ordeal at Lollapalooza Brazil while delivering a heartfelt speech in honor of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, who died last Friday.

“We had to do this emergency landing and the first person I called was Taylor because he was already there [Asunciónico Music Festival in Paraguay]’ said Cyrus, who then burst into tears as he performed Angels Like You in tribute to the drummer.

The busy musician also released her first-ever live album, Attention: Miley Live, on Friday.

Miley recorded her covers of Madonna’s Like a Prayer, Blondie’s Heart of Glass, The Pixies’ Where Is My Mind and her famous godmother Dolly Parton’s Jolene.

The singer put the album together with the help of her fans: “This is not just my live album, this is our album! My fans and I collaborated on this setlist!’ she wrote on Instagram.

“I asked you what you would like to hear and I put together a show trying to grant as many wishes as possible! I love you so much! Thank you for all your loyalty and support over the past 16 years!’
