Good morning on day 2 aboard Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser! We head to Batu with a shuttle truck from Halcyon. This article will feature spoilers for the full experience.
Transport dock
From Halcyon, guests head to the transport dock. Guests head down a long corridor to the shuttle doors.
A map shows where you are on the ship, and a small poster shows the rules for the shuttle. All the guests have to return by the last hour of the shuttle from 16:00. We asked what would happen if you failed, but the crew members would only say that we will be blocked on Batuu. In fact, we expect the cast to arrange a bus or other transportation back to Starcruiser.
The point of contact here is to touch your MagicBand to mark your location so that crew members can track who is on the ship and who is on Batuu.
As this is public transport, the camouflage instructions apply while you are on board the shuttle.
A special pin, the Halcyon Sigil of the Select, is given to passengers heading to Batuu.
Shuttle interior
The interior of the shuttle is very themed, with lights and effects on all sides. It is also very small and feels crowded.
The door closes, revealing that it is also themed.
There are many screens and displays scattered around the cabin.
The transport is controlled by the J6-F8, a droid pilot that can only be heard through the speakers and invites passengers to “sit back, relax and enjoy the journey”. J6 also gives tips for interesting places in the Black Spire Outpost as you travel to the planet.
Although he is not visible, a poster near the front of the vehicle contains a photo of the J6-F8. The poster reads:
Black Spire Outpost
Batu Transport Company.
Oga Gara,
Owner.
Your RX series
Pilot droid
He’s the shuttle driver
J6-F8
The cabin has lighting effects in several of the grilles around the transport, while the shuttle passes various other ships invisible outside.
The seven-minute journey ends at Docking Bay 3 at Batuu’s Black Spire Outpost (at Disney’s Hollywood studios).

After exiting the shuttle, guests enter a corridor that is open-air, giving them a taste of sunlight for the first time since entering Halcyon.
Oga has pasted her advertisement on the information board. It includes a map of how to get to its canteen.
The ad reads:
Canteen of Oga
The best drinks on the outer edge
Here we serve all kinds. – Oga Gara
The hallway is themed in the same style as the rest of the Black Spire Outpost, with very old concrete and faded paint.
Wires and other equipment are located at the top of the walls and cover the gap of the corridor.
Around the corner at the end of the corridor, guests head to a large, covered space inside Docking Bay 3.
Here, at the entrance to the outpost, passengers are met by their personal concierge while on the planet. He informed guests about the offers here at Batuu, including their Lightning Lane reservations for attractions related to their MagicBands, and their lunch vouchers, which can be redeemed at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo or Ronto Roasters (or any fast service in Disney’s Hollywood Studio). Purchases made at the Black Spire Outpost can be held at Docking Bay 3 by the concierge and transported back to the guest cabins aboard the Halcyon later in the day.
