Bill Maher Says Jada Pinkett Smith Is ‘Lucky’ Only To Have Alopecia

HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher” tackled the infamous Oscar smack on Friday night, with the eponymous host telling Jada Pinkett Smith to “thank God” that alopecia is the worst thing she’s dealing with.

“If you’re so lucky in life that this is your medical issue, just say, ‘Thank God,'” Maher snapped to his guests, attorney Laura Coates and former presidential candidate and New York City mayoral candidate Andrew Yang.

“It’s not life-threatening. It’s part – for most people, 80 percent of men, 50 percent of women – it’s part of aging.”

“Aging is, believe me, I know, it’s the degradation of the flesh. It happens to all of us,” added the 66-year-old political comedian.

“And you know, just put on a friggin’ wig like everyone else at the Oscars if it bothers you that much.”

Maher said Will Smith’s viral swipe at Chris Rock over a joke about Pinkett Smith’s bald head exposed ugly “aspects of society” like “toxic masculinity, victim culture and liberal hypocrisy,” as he claimed most Americans associate the Academy Awards with the Democrats associate party and coastal elites.

The left-leaning comedian’s guests all agreed that they were dismayed that a theater full of ‘awakened’ movie stars would stand up and applaud Smith’s trophy for best actor shortly after his attack.

“I remember as a prosecutor prosecuting quite a few assaults and batteries and they wouldn’t stand by and say, ‘No, no, I have the rest of my kid’s football game, I have to stay for that,'” Coates said.

“The fact that he was there to be like ‘Here’s my prize’ in and of itself was shocking, not to mention a standing ovation.”

Yang said he thought Smith had thicker skin.

“I feel like part of the job of a world famous celebrity attending an awards show is to absorb slight insults directed at you and yours,” the Democrat-turned businessman said.

“I was running for office and people around me said things I didn’t like and I didn’t stand up and I didn’t hit anyone.”
