On Monday, the longtime featherweight contender revealed on The MMA Hour that he has signed an exclusive contract with the Professional Fighters League after fighting out his contract with the UFC. “Hurricane” picked up a hard-fought majority decision win over Charles Jourdain at UFC Long Island in July to go free.

In a recent interview with Yahoo! Sports, White spoke about Burgos leaving the company for the PFL.

“Basically, there were some mistakes made here, some things that … he should have still been here,” White said. “I respect him very much and wish him all the best.

“100 percent [mistakes were made], 100 percent. Big mistakes were made here.”

Speaking on The MMA Hour, Burgos revealed the PFL’s offer far exceeded what the UFC could afford and that it would take “several” fights with his previous UFC contract to achieve what he did in a PFL stint. fight would achieve. In addition, Burgos said he would be given the opportunity to commentate for the PFL, which is very important to him.

While the UFC squad feels they made a mistake, Burgos is pretty confident he made the right decision for himself and his family.

“When all is said and done after the first season – obviously I’m planning to win – I’ll be a multi-millionaire,” Burgos said.
