Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin has to undergo a drug test after leaked cell phone videos caught her wildly dancing and partying with her celebrity friends.

Marin, who is one of the youngest heads of state in the world at 36, defended her behavior seen in the viral clips and vehemently denied using drugs.

“I have not used drugs or anything other than alcohol myself. I danced, sang and partied and did perfectly legal things,” she said at a press conference on Thursday.

In the footage, which is said to have come from a private Instagram account, Marin and a group of friends – including Finnish musicians, TV personalities and politicians – can be seen dancing and singing.

Dressed in a black tank top and white trousers, the glamorous Prime Minister of Finland could be seen gyrating her hips, pumping her fists with enthusiasm and making funny faces for the camera with her friends, in what appeared to be a private apartment.

After the bomb leak, Finnish MP Mikko Kärnä of Marin’s coalition partner, the Center Party, said: tweeted that Marin should take a voluntary drug test and make the results public.

“The people can expect the same from their prime minister,” he wrote.

During Thursday’s press conference, Marin insisted she only drank alcohol — but not too much — and “celebrated boisterously.”

“I haven’t done any drugs, so it’s not a problem to take a drug test, but I also think it’s very special that something like that is required,” she told reporters, adding that she “doesn’t have anything to do with it to hide or have to hide. ”

The 36-year-old European leader insisted her actions were perfectly legal. Marin also said she knew she was being filmed at the social event a few weeks ago, but expected the footage to remain private.

Marin, 36, said the party was held privately at two private homes for a couple of weeks with around 20 guests. Marin, 36, said the party took place a few weeks ago at two private houses with around 20 guests. Twitter

“It feels bad that they got released,” she lamented.

Marin also revealed the noisy footage was captured at gatherings in two separate apartments with around 20 guests.

Among those in attendance were Finnish singer Alma, rapper Petri Nygard, TV presenter Tinni Wikstrom and MPs from Marin’s Social Democratic Party.

Earlier this week, German publication Bild hailed Marin as “the coolest prime minister in the world”.

This isn’t the first time Marin’s affinity for partying has gotten her into trouble.

Back in December 2021, she had to apologize for spending a night at a nightclub after coming into close contact with someone who had tested positive for COVID.

Marin said she missed a text telling her to self-isolate because she left her work phone at home, although as Prime Minister she should have the device with her at all times.

“I’m very sorry I didn’t understand that I had to do this,” Marin said as part of her mea culpa at the time.
