Camila Cabello posts note about personal struggles with body image and admits feeling ‘super vulnerable’

Camila cabello took to social media to discuss her personal struggles with body image and to condemn society for setting unrealistic expectations of women’s appearance. The singer revealed that she often feels “self-conscious” about wearing bikinis in public due to the “unrealistic” images of women in today’s culture.

In a lengthy post, the Bam Bam singer wrote about an encounter with photographers on a Miami beach. She said she was constantly being stalked by photographers who uploaded pictures of her and received comments that made her “very upset”. After getting ready for a beach day in Miami with a new bikini and a “fucking cute outfit,” Kamila said she couldn’t enjoy herself as she was “so confident”.

She added, “I couldn’t let go and relax and do what we’re supposed to do when we go out into nature.” Though she knew she “looked good” and thought she felt “achieved,” admitted the Grammy-nominated star admits she “never had a worse time at the beach.”

However, this isn’t the first time Camila has spoken out about body fights on Instagram. In 2019, the Señorita singer vented her frustrations with people trying to physically shame her. The star explained that she wanted to celebrate the second anniversary of her hit-making song “Havana” with a photo, but when she searched for it, she discovered a disturbing headline that negatively commented on her body at the time. Interestingly, Camila also wrote an open letter earlier this month about the “longing sense of belonging.”
