A riot can erupt behind the scenes of Encontro, presented by Patrícia Poeta and Manoel Soares on Globo. At least that’s what columnist Alessandro LoBianco claims, who reported on an ugly argument between the two moderators this Tuesday (22nd) at a meeting of the show’s employees while he was taking part in “A Tarde é Sua”.

According to LoBianco, Patricia was not part of the daily agenda meetings of the “Encontro”, preferring to attend once a week and send an assistant in her place on the other days. Manoel Soares, in turn, would be a permanent figure in these meetings, which serve to define the themes to be covered in the attraction.

According to LoBianco, once she recognized Manoel’s influence in the direction of the attraction, Patrícia attempted to appear at the agenda meetings daily. She went on to ask that the show’s troubles be approved by her, which would have led to a falling out between her and the cohost, who defended her right to have an opinion on the agendas and demanded respect as a professional .

Manoel would also have advised Patrícia to see a psychologist at TV Globo for better advice. At that moment, as the columnist said, the fight escalated: the former host of “Jornal Nacional” would have told Manoel to fill his post as the program’s assistant and not as cohost, in addition to having demanded respect from him in hers position as a woman and started talking about feminism. Finally, he accused Manoel of disrespecting hierarchy.

The cohost then contradicted Patricia’s theories, noting that everyone on the team would have a vote. He would have also said that from that moment on, he would not respect her anymore. The journalist argued that the audience figures spoke for themselves, but Manoel would have said, “Look, Patrícia, take this audience story lightly because audiences don’t reflect the truth,” preciting the work of Fátima Bernarde’s Year of the Year program as something “virtually nil” but guaranteed a good audience through reverberating BBB and the house’s soap operas. So far, none of those quoted have confirmed LoBianco’s claims.
