Host Says Vicente Fernández Didn’t Attend Grammys; his mistake went viral

At the celebration of Grammy 2022 a huge mistake was madeafter the singer of Country music Jimmie Allen remembered Vicente Fernández, but apparently he didn’t do it in the most appropriate way.

“El Charro de Huentitán” won the posthumous award in the category “Best Regional Music Album” for his last album before his death: “A mis 80’s”.

At the presentation, it occurred to him to tell Jimmie Allen that “El Charro de Huentitán” did not attend the handover ceremony, but that the regional music singer passed away on December 12, 2021.

“(Vicente Fernández) didn’t come either, but congratulations. It’s a great honor, even though you couldn’t be there today,” said the American interpreter.

This comment caused outrage on social networks, as they asserted that Vicente Fernández was an international icon whose death they felt Allen should have known about.

“How they said Vicente Fernández couldn’t go to the Grammys”, “The host of the Grammys when he found out that Vicente Fernández didn’t go to his award because he’s dead” were some of the comments.
It should be noted that no member of the Fernández family was present to accept the award.
