The latest TV commercial for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness confirms the return of Wanda Maximoff’s twin sons, Billy and Tommy.
The latest TV spot for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness confirms that two major WandaVision characters aren’t done with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The short trailer includes a clip of Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch hugging her children Billy and Tommy. Based on the way the footage is edited, it seems like Wanda is still unable to bring her twins to life as they ceased to exist when the fake reality surrounding Westview crumbled into WandaVision. It’s currently unknown how the two boys will play into the Multiverse of Madness narrative, but fans are speculating that Wanda will attempt to use her newfound powers to bring her sons to life.

Along with the return of Billy and Tommy, the TV spot also gives fans a better look at one of the evil variants of Doctor Strange. In one of the scenes towards the end of the trailer, the so-called Sinister Strange opens a third eye on his forehead, causing an exhausted reaction from the master of mystical arts. The rest of the trailer features scenes audiences will be familiar with from older trailers, including Wong summoning a pair of magical swords and a luminous being that some believe is the Superior Iron Man.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will see the titular wizard deal with the aftermath of his actions in Spider-Man: No Way Home. After breaking down the boundaries between realities, Strange is confronted with multiple versions of himself, such as the aforementioned Sinister Strange. The film will also introduce a plethora of new characters to the MCU, including universe-jumping America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez).

As the film will dabble heavily in the multiverse, fans are anticipating multiple cameos from film franchises that have yet to appear in the MCU. Patrick Stewart’s Professor X from Fox’s X-Men franchise will reportedly make an appearance, while a Multiverse of Madness poster appears to confirm that Captain Carter from the animated What If…? Series will also make its live-action debut. Some fans believe Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool will have a cameo, which the actor has vehemently denied.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters on May 5th.
