“Using loopholes in international legislation, the US government is constantly increasing its biological-military capabilities in different regions of the world,” said Lt. Gen. Igor Kirillov, head of the radiological, chemical and biological protection forces.
At an informal Arria Formula consultation at the United Nations Security Council, the senior official cited data from China’s Foreign Ministry that Washington controls 336 laboratories in 30 states outside of national jurisdiction.
“In the border areas with Russia and China alone, about 60 facilities have been modernized at the expense of the US military department since 2005,” Kirillov said, RT television reported.
He assured that thanks to the special operation of Russian troops in Ukraine, the international community has access to information about illegal military and biological research in that country.
The United States is creating biological laboratories in different countries based on a common scenario and linking them to a unified system for monitoring their biological situation, the specialist said.
He explained that they first express their concerns about the state of the biological situation in the region, and then express the possibility of material support from health ministries or officials in conducting joint works.
