It’s the wedding of All Creatures Great and Small that fans have been waiting for.
And now stunning new images have surfaced of characters Helen Alderson (Rachel Shenton) and James Herriot (Nicholas Ralph) finally tying the knot.
The characters were seen kissing in a candlelit chapel on their big day, with Rachel’s Helen eyeing every inch of the blushing bride in a traditional lace wedding dress.

Her dress featured a high neckline, long sleeve design and flowy skirt, with the look being completed with a long veil and crown.
Nicholas’ character James looked dapper in a tan wool suit and crisp white shirt.
In the pictures, Helen and James looked like newlyweds in love, looking at each other lovingly and kissing after tying the knot.
The actors were spotted filming the much-anticipated wedding scene in Yorkshire back in March.

The third season of the hit series is scheduled to premiere on Channel 5 on September 15.
Channel 5 drama bosses have teased it will be a big series for beloved characters after the couple’s relationship suffered multiple setbacks in previous series.
Producer Ben Vanstone told The Mirror: “In season three, Helen and James got engaged, so I think it’s fair to say marriage might be on the horizon.
“The year is 1939, so it’s not surprising that a war is looming that is increasingly overshadowing the lives of our characters

“Ultimately our show is about Darrowby and the world of the Yorkshire Dales and the farmers in it.
Ben added: “There’s a great horse story in episode three that’s really moving and I think it’s going to be fantastic.
“We won’t have any lambs this spring, come to think of it, but someone at the Skeldale house could get a new pet.”
The drama follows the life of veterinarian James who has moved to the Yorkshire Dales.

Opening up about James and Helen’s relationship, Oscar winner Rachel teased that it “will be nice to see” their romance blossom.
“Ultimately, as individuals, they are very caring, compassionate people and care about one another, and each other’s well-being is paramount in everything they do,” she said.
“It’s a tender step in the direction we all know it’s going, but it’s not easy, but it will be nice to see.”
All Creatures Great And Small has been renewed by Channel 5 for a third and fourth season.
Based on James Herriot’s legendary collection of stories, the acclaimed adaptation will return for six episodes each season, plus two Christmas specials.
