Another of Éric Duhaime’s candidates is in trouble after a video posted on social media resurfaced. In the pictures we see him insulting François Legault while watching him on TV.

Yves Beaulieu, Éric Duhaime’s candidate at Pointe-aux-Trembles, makes inappropriate remarks to the outgoing Prime Minister.
The video was allegedly taken about a year and a half ago. Yves Beaulieu was not yet a Conservative candidate at the time. The whole thing was filmed in an apartment building.
We see Mr Beaulieu getting up from his sofa and approaching the TV as the Prime Minister speaks about vaccinations at a press conference.
“Hosts of Eat-Mar**!” loosely Yves Beaulieu in the pictures. “You’ve gotten sick, Chalice! Suck my ass”.
This video, received by TVA Nouvelles on Friday, is catching up with the candidate today.
The father, a foreman and site manager, said he had “lived segregation and the lid of the pot had come off”.
Yves Beaulieu, reached by phone in the morning, did not deny his comments or the existence of the video.
‘I was sick of living like this, Mr Poirier! Everyone makes gestures in life, in the moment. Do we have the right to be fed up with what we’ve been through? Yes, we have the right to be exhausted! Being close to burnout, depression from being locked in the house! We can’t go shopping, go to the cinema. We can’t travel. We can’t go to the restaurant and it’s hard to see our families! explains the conservative candidate.
He added: “What do you want from me? That I drop the campaign?

On Friday afternoon, Cédric Lapointe, spokesman for Eric Duhaime, responded by statement.
“Mr Beaulieu was disrespectful to François Legault at a difficult time. It does not represent the values and professionalism of the Quebec Conservative Party. Although he wasn’t a candidate at the time, I expect more restraint from him. I’m glad to see that he has taken the initiative to apologize on social media for his comments. It shows a further development of his ideas. Everyone has the right to make mistakes,” he wrote.
