Two inmates, Christine Goodwin and Hailey Regent, are wanted by police after they missed the 8:30 p.m. count Friday night at the Eagle Women’s Healing Lodge in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The two women are said to have fled Section 81 Healing Lodge under minimal security levels. The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) Prairie Region reported the two missing women to the Winnipeg Police Department and warrants were issued for their arrest.
Christine Goodwin is 30 years old, 1.70 meters tall and weighs 100 kilos. She has medium skin tones, brown eyes and black hair. She also has tattoos on both hands, left arm, both calves and neck.
She is currently serving a three-year and four-month sentence for possession of narcotics for trafficking, possession of an unqualified substance, violating bail conditions and violating a court order, according to a statement released by CSC on Friday.
Hailey Regent is 24 years old, 1.78 meters tall and weighs 114 kilograms. She has a pale complexion, hazel eyes and brown hair. She has tattoos on her fingers, right forearm, right thigh, left wrist, left shoulder, right arm, left hand and neck.
She is currently serving a sentence of three years, ten months and twenty-five days for armed robbery.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police. The SSC and Eagle Women’s Healing Lodge are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are working with the police to locate those detained as quickly as possible.
