In a brief virtual hearing, Lyle’s lawyer, Philip Reisenstein, explained to the judge that he had spoken to prosecutors the day before and told them that only one witness statement, a relative of Hernandez Sr., was missing.

Reisenstein said he had previously been involved with Hernandez Sr.’s family and that the other side’s lawyers had contacted him again.

Juan Ricardo Hernandez Jr. filed a civil lawsuit for $ 100,000, alleging “severe emotional damage.”

“We are in a situation where we need a short delay,” Reisenstein said. “That will be allowed or we will go to court again.”

The prosecution agreed.

“The joint request for adjournment is granted,” Judge Vizcaino said.

Video surveillance footage of the incident shows Juan Ricardo Hernandez Sr. getting out of his car at a red light and approaching the window of Lyle’s car to claim he was cut off.

Hernandez Sr. appears to have tried to open the driver’s door before Delfino got out of his car and argued with Hernandez Sr.

Lyle tried to stop the car from moving during the commotion, and Delfino rushed back to stop parking.

Fearing for his family’s safety, Lyle left the passenger seat and ran to Hernandez and punched him in the face.

Hernandez lay on the floor alone as Lyle’s car and his family pulled away. A few hours later, the actor was detained at Miami airport while preparing to travel to Mexico.

However, these allegations were rejected by another judge and a higher court, which returned the case to the Miami court for consideration.

Lyle remains under house arrest and remains in Miami with his family. He is required to wear an ankle monitor that allows the vessel to monitor its location 24 hours a day.
