This time, reports of a highly successful female sniper are causing a sensation. The soldier is said to have an equally impressive hit rate as the most successful marksmen of all time. Ukraine does not reveal the soldier’s name for understandable reasons. But the woman has also gained notoriety in Ukraine in recent days under her fighting name “Ugoliok” (“coal”).
As reported by “Kronen Zeitung”, among others, the woman would have joined the army just to impress her brother. Since 2017, it is said to have been deployed against pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine before leaving service a few months ago in early 2022m. The Russian war of aggression is said to have prompted the woman to make a military comeback. The woman is said to belong to the 35th Infantry Brigade.
Ukrainian war propaganda quotes the fighter as saying she is fighting “not human beings”. Even the fascists weren’t as abominable as the Russians. The woman would have promised to fight to the end.
There is no concrete and, above all, official information about the soldier’s successes, but, according to international media reports, she is as successful as the famous Ukrainian sniper Lyudmila Pavlichenko. She is said to have killed 309 enemies during WWII.
