The execution continued on video. Mamuka Mamulashvili, the supreme commander of the Georgian National Legion fighting alongside Kyiv in Ukraine, is claiming horror as a result of his orders. Minister Kuleba: “The guilty must be identified and punished”

PAVLOGRAD (Dnipro) Four soldiers are on the ground. An armored car is a few yards ahead. It has a common suitcase hanging from the armor, as well as other items that clash with the vehicle’s martial aspect. They appear to be the result of looting. 6 other soldiers move on the scene. For the white bands on their arms, those on the ground look Russian. One has his hands tied behind his back. Instead, the standing ones, the winners, appear and speak Ukrainian. They have no qualms about showing up on video. They seem like the moments after an ambush. The Russians on the ground are motionless, only one is still moving and moaning softly. One Ukrainian says “leave him alone”, the other replies “no, I don’t want to leave him alone”. And shoot. Many times. Until you are done.
A barbaric execution of prisoners that has been circulating on Telegram channels since yesterday, ending with the glory of «Slavic Ukraine» for Ukraine. The courier has identified the selfappointed commander of the Killing Squad. Her name is Mamuka Mamulashvili and she claims horror is the fruit of her commands. Mamulashvili introduces himself as head of the “Georgian National Legion” fighting alongside the Kiev government in Ukraine. In fact, at least one of the squads that shot Russian prisoners speaks Russian with a Georgian accent. And in any case, it is the same officer Mamulashvili who recognizes this patrol as his command. “We said it from the beginning, we don’t take any prisoners,” is the commandant’s hallucinatory declaration.
The BBC examined video of the execution using satellite detection techniques and crossreferenced the available data. The investigation shows that the massacre took place during the withdrawal of the Russian military from the areas north of Kyiv. More precisely, on the road between Dmytrivka and the Irpin and Bucha areas. A number of Russian units had already been reported in the past few days as having remained isolated, perhaps forgotten by the commandos during a not particularly orderly withdrawal. Or the Russians of this particular unit had stayed to fill their armored cars with items stolen from Ukrainian homes. In any case, the ambush of the Georgian militiamen was successful and ended in this disgusting way.
This is not the first time that evidence of unprovoked violence on the Ukrainian side has surfaced. There are images of barbaric violence against suspected looters or possible intruders. Kicks in the face, people already on the ground, lines of men against the wall, scared, abused and humiliated. One went shirtless in the face of threats with Kalashnikovs. Episodes that make the mistreatment of the G8 in Genoa seem like controlled actions in comparison.
Another video shows already harmless Russian prisoners being coldlegged by Ukrainian soldiers one by one. Without anyone intervening to stop the responsible person. On that occasion, it was said that the Ukrainian soldier who made the gesture had just returned to the station after visiting his wife and son, who had been hit in the back by a Russian bombing raid.
President Selenskyj had declared this behavior inadmissible and announced an investigation. Nothing is known about this yet. Yesterday it was Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba’s turn to take the same stance on the new video of the four Russians killed on the ground. “The evidence must be examined and the culprits identified and punished.”
Ukraine’s official position is essentially not to deny any responsibility, as is Russia’s communication strategy. Kyiv firmly believes that such behavior is unacceptable. However, he is unable to prevent them and pursue them at the moment during the war.
