Andrade El Idolo’s career is on the line in the October 7th edition of AEW Rampage. The luchador will take on Dark Order’s Preston “10” Vance in a career vs. mask match on the show, but will the result see Andrade leave the company?
The AEW star has been all over social media lately seemingly begging for his freedom, but it’s unknown if he’s genuinely unhappy in AEW or trolling the wrestling community as part of a story. Regardless of where the wrestler’s future lies, Jose the assistant has his back, but a recent social media post from Andrade’s manager teased his client’s exit from the promotion.
“You are one of the best in-ring competitors, I learned a lot working with you. You brought me to #AEW and I will stand by your side no matter what decision you make next,” Jose continued Twitter. “Thanks for everything Manuel Andrade.”
While all signs point to this being a work, Andrade has been speculating a lot about its future lately. A few days ago, he took to social media and struck Triple H’s signature pose, suggesting he wanted WWE’s Chief Content Officer to contact him.
Ahead of the latest developments, he and Jose the Assistant shared hourglass images on social media, suggesting they might be working on a storyline where Andrade’s time was running out. However, Andrade’s future in AEW should become much clearer after the upcoming episode of Rampage.
