Emmerdale’s Isobel Steele ‘has left the soap after six years to focus on music career’

Emmerdale’s Isobel Steele “has left the soap after six years to focus on a music career … with the character Liv Flaherty being killed off in a shocking plot twist.”

Isobel Steele has reportedly left Emmerdale after six years on the show, hoping to focus more on her burgeoning music career than acting.

The 21-year-old screen star portrayed Liv Flaherty on the soap opera for six years – starting in January 2016 when she was just 15.

And given the exit, bosses are reportedly planning a dramatic plot twist for her character – which will result in her exit from the show later this month.

Isobel won Best Young Actress at the British Soap Awards in 2018 for her portrayal of Liv in Emmerdale, in which she joined the series’ famous Dingle family after marrying the character Vinny (Bradley Johnson).

But according to The Sun, the actress is ready to branch out and “try new things” as she pushes her music career forward.

A source told the publication: “It was a big decision for Isobel but she is willing to try new things.

“She feels like she’s done everything she can at Emmerdale and wants to focus on her music career and really push it.”

Emmerdale has brought her A-game to this month’s episodes to celebrate her 50th anniversary – with the source adding that Isobel’s exit will factor into the dramatic spate of episodes, noting that she “has all the stops have drawn”.

“Viewers will be on the edge of their seats as everything unfolds and Liv is killed. It’s a real heartbreaker, a death that fans will remember for a long time,” they declared.

Celebrating half a century of television, Emmerdale will air a one-hour special on Sunday 16th October.

And bosses have revealed a huge storm is set to hit the Dales, devastating residents of the Yorkshire village as drama unfolds.

And Isobel’s character Liv could take center stage as she deals with the family drama before the potential shock ends at the end of the month.

Isobel, who sings and plays the piano and guitar, has posted videos showing off her musical talent on her Instagram page.

She also appeared to be regularly sharing covers on YouTube between 2018 and 2020 – although her channel, called Izzi Steele, went unposted for two years.
