English actress and singer Hannah Spearritt, who was part of the band S Club 7, revealed she was afraid of death after having silicone implants and experiencing horrific symptoms.

She made the statements in an interview published by The Sun this Sunday (2). Hanna, now 41, broke through at a young age in the UK and around the world with the group formed by Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller in the late 1990s.

In addition to Hannah, the group consisted of Bradley McIntosh, Paul Cattermole, Jo O’Meara, Jon Lee, Rachel Stevens and Tina Barrett. She says she’s started comparing herself physically to her peers: “I had Rachel, Tina and Jo with their curves. I love them all, but I was straight like a pancake. It was around that time that things started growing on me about my looks.”

“It took me a while to get up the courage to get my breasts done and I didn’t have surgery until I was in my early thirties. I came out of a longterm relationship and I was like, ‘This is going to fix me,’ which was just ridiculous.”

It was one of the worst decisions of her life, she could hardly imagine what was to come.

Six months after the breast implants were put in, she began to experience strange symptoms. “There was a time I thought I was going insane from being misdiagnosed all the time,” she recalls.

The singer took great care to perform the surgery in a known location so as not to take any chances. “I took the most expensive ones. They were the latest on the market and cost me around £7,000. But what I didn’t realize is that silicone isn’t pure silicone, so you never know what extra stuff they’re putting in,” she explains, summarizing, “It was like my body was slowly being poisoned.”

The artist reports that she felt very tired all the time: “I went to the gym and had to take a nap on the way back”.

“Then my hair started falling out. I suffered from severe anxiety and was diagnosed with systemic thrush, which is a fungal overgrowth so I became depressed.”

Here’s the snap from her husband Adam: “He was convinced it was my implants but I really didn’t want them to be because I’ve been thinking about them for so many years and I finally found the courage to put them in.”

Hannah had the silicone removed in 2016 after she thought she was dying: “By the end, I felt like I was dying. But I think I also knew I had the implants, so I hoped that when I took them out, my body would start to heal which it did,” she recalls with relief.

Because of all of this, and the difficulty in getting information and diagnosis about the problem, Hannah is making her first televised documentary titled “Me & Breast Implants” to decode the matter a little more: “If I just had one person with me can help the documentary, then everything will be worth it.”

In April, former Nascar star Danica Patrick revealed a similar situation after getting breast implants. She has had breast implants since 2014 and a few years later she began to experience signs from her body, such as facial deformities, hair loss and dizziness.
