“We are voting for democracy to ensure that there is a government and oppositions that have diverse voices that are heard, in a national assembly that represents the best interests of Quebec,” Paul St. Pierre Plamondon said happily that he was able to vote as the leader of the PQ. “It’s a very nice day to vote (…) The sky is very blue this morning.”

After placing his ballot in the ballot box, the PQ leader then went to his county office to motivate the troops who will help him get the vote out.

With tears in his eyes, he turned to his activists and family.

“What’s left for us today is to go to the people and encourage them to vote,” said the PQ’s emotional leader. “Voter turnout is the key to democracy”
