An alcoholic driver ran over a group of people at a bus stop in Bratislava and killed several people. Now there are more details.
As “Today” reported, the tragedy happened on Monday night in the center of the Slovak capital Bratislava. A car thundered at excessive speed at a bus stop where several people were waiting for the bus. At least five people died and seven others were injured.

Initially, it was unclear why the vehicle collided with the waiting crowd. The driver of the car would be very drunk. Initially, there were no indications of terrorist intent. But now more and more details are coming to light.

According to the Slovak newspaper “Novy Cas”, the handlebars are considered a well-known figure in the sport. Thus, Dušan D., secretary general of the Committee “Deaflympics” of Slovakia, would be behind the wheel. His son may also have been in the car at the time of the accident.
It has since been confirmed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. According to “TV Markiza”, Dušan D. had up to 1.6 per thousand alcohol in his blood at the time of the accident. At first it was said that there were four dead, but now the number of victims has increased to five.
21-year-old died in hospital
“We have received information about the death of another injured person who succumbed to injuries sustained in the tragic event at the hospital. It is a 21-year-old female,” Slovakian police said on their Facebook page.
Dušan D. and his son were taken to hospital with serious injuries after the accident, Slovak media reported. No further information is known about his health status. In any case, the police investigation is in full swing.
