The Pope prays for war refugees in Ukrainian and Russian

The Russian nonwar journalist Mondo hired by Die Welt

Marina Ovsyannikova, the nonwar journalist who interrupted the Russian newscast to protest the Russian war in Ukraine, has been hired as a correspondent for Die Welt. This was announced by the owner of the German newspaper Axel Springer and specified: “He will report from Ukraine and Russia for the print and TV news channel Die Welt”.
“At a crucial moment, Owsyannikova had the courage to compare Russian viewers with reality,” said Welt boss Ulf Poschardt, adding that the journalist had “defended the profession despite censorship” with her gesture. “As a journalist, I see it as my duty to defend freedom,” commented hirer Ovsiannikova.
The reporter was arrested and then released by Russian law enforcement after he displayed an antiwar sign behind a colleague who was covering the news. (HAND).
