In a televised address, US Senator Lindsey Graham called on “someone in Russia” to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to the candidate, very close to former President Donald Trump, a man capable of such an act would do “a great service to Russia and the rest of the world.”

In addition to her polemical statement, Lindsay Graham highlighted the point in a series of tweets, adding that “the only ones who could fix this are the Russians.”
The only people who can fix this are the Russian people.

historical figures
To strengthen his position, the senator relies on historical figures. “Is Brutus in Russia?” He wondered, referring to one of the assassins of the Roman emperor Julius Caesar.
He also wondered if there was “Colonel Stauffenberg in the Russian army, but more effective”, referring to German officer Klaus von Stauffenberg, author of the failed bombing of Adolf Hitler in 1944. “You will do your country a great service to the rest of the world.” He added.
Lindsay Graham presented a resolution in the Senate this Friday condemning the Russian president and his military leaders, accusing them of “war crimes” and “crimes against humanity.”
