Mark Wright presents the UK version of US show The Challenge for Channel 5 which was filmed in Argentina as he reunites with former TOWIE co-star Joey Essex
Mark Wright is expected to return to TV screens as he got a presenting appearance for a new Channel 5 series on Thursday.
The former TOWIE star, 35, flew to Argentina last month along with several famous faces to film the show, which is similar to US series The Challenge.
The radio DJ is also reunited with his former reality star pal Joey Essex as the celebrities face a series of grueling challenges.

A source told The Sun: “Mark really impressed the producers of The Challenge and they signed him straight away. It’s a big deal as it’s the first time the show has been done with British stars.
“Mark filmed the series in Argentina late last month and will be on screen as the celebrities take on a tough series of challenges.
“It’s a role that was made for Mark because he loves fitness and is competitive. He really put his foot down during filming and when a second series is commissioned the production wants Mark back on board.’

It has been revealed that three former Love Island stars Marcel Somerville, Arabella Chi and Kaz Kamwi signed on for the new series last month and Geordie Shore’s Nathan Henry will also be making an appearance.
Mark first rose to fame as the original actor on The Only Way Is Essex and split from the reality show after just three series.
He later became a runner on the hit ITV show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! 2011 and reached the Strictly Come Dancing finals in 2012.

Mark had his own ITV2 shows, Mark Wright’s Hollywood Night and Party Wright Around The World in 2012 and 2014, but none were commissioned for a second series.
In 2017, he finally took his big presenting break and flew to Los Angeles to host Warner Bros.’ Extra TV.
However, his wife, actress Michelle Keegan, whom he married in 2015, lived in the UK and Mark decided to return home two years after leaving the hosting job to be with his wife.

Mark and Michelle, whose net worth is estimated at £12million, have been documenting the construction process of their Essex mansion on Instagram after purchasing the original property for £1.3million in October 2019.
Construction experts have estimated that the house will cost around £3.5million to demolish and rebuild.
