A few days ago there was a kidnapping in Switzerland. As it turned out, the head of the national vaccination commission was the victim.
Two people died in a police operation in Wallisellen (canton of Zurich) on Wednesday, including a 38-year-old man who was wanted for kidnapping the week before. Now it turns out that the kidnapping victim was the head of the Swiss Vaccination Commission, Christoph Berger. This is reported by the Tamedia newspapers.
The 38-year-old German national kidnapped the chairman of the National Immunization Commission (EKIF) on the night of March 31. So far, all that is known about the kidnapping’s progress is that the kidnapping victim was threatened with a weapon. According to police, Christoph Berger was released the same night.

Defendant’s motive unclear – connection to conspiracy theorists
The author opened fire on cantonal police on Wednesday night (April 6) after they wanted to arrest him in front of a residential building in the Zwicky area of Wallisellen. When they retaliated, the 38-year-old man was fatally wounded. His companion also died in the exchange of fire – presumably from bullets fired by the kidnapper. The man was accumulating various weapons and ammunition in his apartment and, according to the Tamedia newspapers, was a regular guest at a shooting basement at Spreitbach AG.
Its motive is not yet known. As the Tamedia newspapers report, the man had connections in conspiracy theory circles. According to this, a business partner of his would have publicly presented himself as a supporter of the “Flat Earth” theory, according to which the Earth is flat. The man is also said to have shared corona conspiracy theories on his Facebook profile. Christoph Berger was unavailable for 20 minutes Friday night.
