Last week, it was confirmed that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are engaged for the second time. The singer appeared with a giant green ring, and then it was J.Lo’s sister who confirmed the news.
This week, however, Lopez’s ex Alex Rodriguez had an awkward moment on his Sunday Night Baseball podcast, where he was asked what he thought of the engagement.
“It’s an incredible time for the sport. There’s a new Masters champion, the NBA playoffs are about to start, baseball is on fire and people are digging in,” the driver said, laughing. “I mean it’s a happy time for the world.”
A-Rod was quick to respond and spoke openly about the new couple. “It’s amazing to see,” he laughed. “Happiness and peace in the world is what we seek.” Then he changed the subject back to sports.
Recall that Rodriguez and Lopez had a 4-year romance and got engaged in 2019 after the athlete gave the singer a nearly $2 million ring.
