Mario Barth made headlines over the weekend when he was kicked out of Deutsche Bahn. The comedian joked about it on Instagram. Possibly not without ulterior motives.
If he’s funny and has a good sense of humor – that’s a great argument. But the fact that Mario Barth dominated the game with the media is indisputable. Over the weekend, the comedian staged his expulsion from Deutsche Bahn with a 45-minute video he posted on Instagram.
Barth was kicked off the train on the way to Frankfurt because he sometimes didn’t wear a mask. In Hanau, he was met by two police officers. The video has been viewed 400,000 times and commented on by countless fans. Deutsche Bahn also reacted and wrote: “Masks are mandatory on our trains, you know?”
The incident attracted widespread media coverage (also reported by the star). In the Cologne newspaper “Express” Barth was even the leader on Monday. In an Insta story, the comedian once joked about it: “Thanks for the front page”, he wrote over a photo showing the “Express”.

In another photo, he asked his followers to provide him with material: “If you find more covers or articles, send them to me and I’ll post them.” In a third photo, he showed a photo from a Berlin tabloid – and was totally disappointed by it: “BZ just the last page,” he wrote, and placed a video of a Mario Barth laughing next to it.
You can see: The 49-year-old started a small wave with his video posted on Saturday – and now he intends to exploit it according to all the rules of the art.
Is it coincidence? Their grand anniversary tour “Men Are Pigs, But Women Are Also 2.0” kicks off April 22. The comedian will then be on the road through the summer of 2023 and will appear on around 50 dates in the republic’s great halls and arenas. There are still tickets available for many of these shows. A little publicity before the tour starts can’t hurt.
