Shortly after Alba Fyre defeated Jacy Jayne on this week’s episode of NXT TV, she was attacked by someone sitting in the crowd dressed all in black. It wasn’t a fan defecting for content.
It was Sonya Deville.
The SmackDown star, who’s kind of wandered lost on the main roster in recent months, emerged on the development brand to seemingly align with Toxic Attraction as she helped Jayne and Gigi Dolin get Fyre through a table.
Later, backstage, she was asked what she was doing, and she made it very clear:
“Mandy and I had our differences, but she’s still my best friend. And if Jacy and Gigi are her girls, then they’re my girls, does that make sense? I don’t know what Alba Fyre is thinking about her burning, flaming bat or whatever it’s called, but I think she may have burned some of her brain cells. You can’t just kidnap the greatest female champion in NXT history and expect to get away with it without consequences. You get this. You get this. That’s why I’m here.”
She would go on to say that she will be waiting for Fyre in the ring next week and if she decides to show up she will not make it to Halloween Havoc where she is scheduled to challenge Rose for the NXT Women’s Championship.
