The animal rights activist, who was hit by LA Rams linebacker Bobby Wagner during the Monday Night Football matchup between the LA Rams and San Francisco 49ers earlier this month, suffered concussion from the hit.

Alexander Taylor, who is a member of the Direct Action Everywhere group, contacted the Santa Clara Police Department at 1:45 pm on October 4, the day after the Levi’s Stadium incident, to file a police report.

The pitch invasor told police he sustained multiple injuries after Wagner rammed his torso and helmet while running shirtless across the field with a smoke bomb. The tackle came at 0:41 on the clock in the second quarter as the Rams were 6-14 behind against the 49ers.

‘Mister. Taylor had a headache,” authorities said in the report. “A concussion without loss of consciousness and a burn to the inner right bicep.”

Santa Clara police are still investigating the incident, according to TMZ. It remains unclear whether the smoking device contributed to Taylor’s injuries.

The intruder filed a complaint with police about an “apparent assault” not only by Wagner but also by a second Rams player who joined from the sidelines to bring him down. According to video footage of the incident, this team member appears to be Takkarist McKinley.

And as things stand, neither player has been arrested or charged with a crime. Wagner stated after the game that he had “safety in mind” when making the decision to attack Taylor.

“This is not a game. That just keeps it safe. You don’t know what this fan got or what he’s doing.

He continued: “You see it all the time and we don’t know what they’re carrying in their pockets. It’s whatever this little smoke thing is, but the sh*t could be dangerous.

The Super Bowl winner also said: “One of the guys on the other side, it looked like he was hurt and security looked like he was struggling so I was frustrated so I put it on left him out.”

The purpose behind the October 3 protest was to draw attention to the ongoing trial of two members of Direct Action Everywhere in Utah, where they are accused of stealing pigs.

Rams head coach Sean McVay also spoke to the media about the incident two weeks ago and supported his players.

McVay said: “We all know where Bobby’s intentions were and I support Bobby Wagner. I’m on it right now. I don’t think anyone would disagree.’

While 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said Wagner’s tackle was “kinda cool to watch.”

The clip wasn’t shown on ESPN, but it did appear on Manningcast and both Peyton and Eli Manning enjoyed the action.

Peyton said, “We’re talking about that. Wagner, a veteran. Right, get him down, get out now and let these guys take over.’
