The Chocolate and Pepper actor dies aged 75 after a fall

Actor Mário César Camargo died last Monday (10) at the age of 75. Away from television since 2016, he took part in Chocolate com Pimenta, which is currently being broadcast on Globo as a special.

Camargo, who has lived in Belo Horizonte (MG) since 1988, suffered a fall on Sunday evening (09) and could not resist his injuries.

In Chocolate with Pimenta he had a brief appearance as the train driver. Before that, he starred as Anacleto in Terra Nostra.

Born in Marília (SP), Mário began his artistic career in the early 1960s at the Centro Popular de Cultura da União Nacional de Estudantes.

He took theater classes with Eugênio Kusnet and Antônio Abujamra and saw his career take off in 1982 when he played Giovanni Barachetta in Luis Alberto de Abreu’s Bella Ciao. He also starred in several films.

The actor, who was married to psychoanalyst Mônica Belisario and had a daughter Laura, will have his wake this Wednesday (12th) in the city of São Paulo.
