Worst date in the world says the student after shopping

‘Worst ‘date’ in the world,’ says the student after shopping at the cinema

Physiotherapy student Niwana Barbosa, who lives in São Luis, Maranhão, had an unusual experience while dating a girl she met through a dating app. The “cineminha” arranged with the girl eventually became the buy of the month when the student decided to stop at a department store to buy “sundries” for the cinema meal. The attendant was delighted and filled a basket with groceries worth R$296.

“I met the girl on the Tinder app about a week ago,” said Niwana, 25. UOL. “She is very pretty, she has long black hair that reaches her waist. And she had made it very clear in her profile that she is a lesbian and looking for a serious relationship. That’s why I was interested.”

After a few days full of discussions, chats and video conferences, the idea of watching a film together in the cinema came up. “She’s very friendly, attractive and a good conversationalist,” says Niwana, who works with visual merchandising, organizing and decorating clothing stores in ways that are appealing to shoppers.

That weekend the two met and before arriving at the cinema, the student brought up the idea of going to a department store to buy something to eat during the film. “Personally, I don’t like popcorn and soda, and she said she doesn’t either. So I came up with the idea and we did it.”

I had a date today, right, so I called the girl to see a movie at the cinema. I bought the tickets by then, blz. When I got there I said let’s go to Americanas, buy some food “I DON’T LIKE POPCORN FROM THE CINEMA I DON’T TRUST THEM” and then arrive in America

Niwana asked the young woman to choose some things to eat during the session. “I got some water, a soda, a bag of chips, a bag of jelly beans and a candy bar. But the girl took a basket. I thought she didn’t want to hold the food in her hands. But she started cleaning too much thing in the basket”.

According to the student, the young woman began putting various groceries in the basket, including several packets of crackers and candy bars. But the last straw came when she started adding packets of instant noodles to purchases.

“I thought. My god, but how is she supposed to be able to eat instant noodles while watching the movie? How would she eat something raw? I thought it was completely ignorant,” says Niwana, who even tweeted the story. The publication spread among netizens, reaching more than 140 thousand likes and receiving thousands of interactions.

“I didn’t believe this animal, she told the cashier to go through it, in the end he gave R$289.76 and she, dissatisfied, said to the cashier: ‘Wait, there’s one more thing missing’. Here she comes with a packet of strawberry pastilles and the cashier said ‘total is 296.75,'” she wrote in one of the posts.

Leave the appointment politely

The student said she kept calm, approached the cashier and just passed her things on. Then he asked the young woman what she would actually eat in this basket full of groceries in the cinema. The girl showed the items which, together with those that Niwana had already passed at the checkout, added up to a total value of about R$50.

“Then I paid by direct debit and was missing about R$240 for the total purchase of all the products she took. Then the cashier asked her what the payment method would be. She looked at me and said, ‘Niwana, what the currency?’ I was instantly frozen, my palms sweating. I couldn’t believe that a person I was meeting in person for the first time would do this to me.”

Finally, the student, in any case completely unmotivated to continue the meeting, took the things the other had said she wanted to eat at the cinema and gave them to her, as well as the cinema ticket. “I didn’t want anything more. No date, no movie, nothing. Even the Uber I already paid her to find me back? Not really,” she commented.

From there, Niwana says that he left and left the girl in the department store and blocked her on all social networks and also on WhatsApp. “It was the worst ‘date’ in the world. For me, it was a lesson in how, yes, we should be careful who we meet up with virtually. It was a fun situation to see now, but something more serious could have happened “more dangerous”.
