Gerhard Mangott Vladimir Putin is accused of being very hesitant

Gerhard Mangott: Vladimir Putin is accused of being very “hesitant and shy”.

Gerhard Mangott, a political scientist at the University of Innsbruck, told Newsroom LIVE that Russian President Vladimir Putin is under pressure to act. Mangott thinks there will be more bombings in the coming weeks and months.

The Russian secret service and ultranationalist ideologues, the so-called hawks, accuse Putin of being too “hesitant and hesitant” in this war of aggression. For the political scientist, this is one of the reasons why the Russian ruler is currently flooding Ukraine with rocket attacks.

Putin is being told that his war needs to become more brutal if Ukraine is to fear Russia again. According to Mangott, Putin is currently under pressure to act. According to the political scientist, further attacks are expected.

Putin wants to terrorize the Ukrainian people

Mangott sees the second reason as being that Putin wants to terrorize the Ukrainian people. It should be noted that despite Ukraine’s successes on the front, Russia is still capable of dropping a bomb on Ukrainian territory at any time. Furthermore, Putin’s new general Sergei Surovikin, also known as “General Armageddon”, is urging the president to “take the war seriously”.

Missing Missiles?

Mangott regards reports that Russia may be running out of missiles as “optimistic” but does not think that is the case. Western sanctions, including on the Russian arms industry, “do not stop Russia” from building more “rockets and precision weapons” and “using them in wars”, according to the political scientist.
