Colombian singer J Balvin announced on Tuesday the suspension of his US tour “José”, which was scheduled to begin on April 19. due to “unforeseen production challenges” related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

As the urban music singer himself reports on his Instagram account, these difficulties prevent him from offering anything to his followers “the best possible show” before which he is forced to postpone the “difficult decision” until further notice the tour, which was to start in San Antonio (Texas) and comprised a total of 27 dates.

“I’m grateful for all your love and support while also really looking forward to meeting you all again on the streets to celebrate together and keep up the high spirits,” the Colombian said in a message in Spanish and English.

The interpreter explained that he is working with his team on all the details and hopes to be able to announce the new dates of the American tour in the “next few weeks”, for which the tickets are still valid.

Announced last September, the “José” tour was due to end on June 4 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, after a route that included major American cities as well as Montreal and Toronto in Canada.

The announcement comes after the Colombian’s latest single, “Sigue,” climbed to number one on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, tied with Ed Sheeran. the thirty-fifth number one achieved by J Balvin in that trade magazine’s ranking.
